India has joined the International Medical Device Regulators Forum (IMDRF) as an affiliate member. This move marks a significant step in aligning the country’s regulatory framework with global standards for medical devices. The IMDRF is a group of regulators from around the world that seeks to accelerate international medical device harmonization and regulatory convergence. As an affiliate member, India can now contribute to and benefit from the forum’s efforts to improve the safety, quality, and performance of medical devices globally.
